Overview

IDC is seeking a Vice President, Digital Product Management to join the Product Management Organization, as the leader of the Knowledge Platform (KP) product.  The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, designing, and launching the new digital platform through which IDC delivers its innovative data products to its customers.

 

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders while leading the development efforts for the KP team.

The role is a combination of hands-on technical product management and people management.

 

This role reports directly to the VP of Technical Product Management with a dotted line to the Knowledge Platform Business Lead. The candidate will work closely with the KP Business Lead, UX, and the development teams.

This position can be located in our Needham, MA office with a Hybrid work schedule or a remote approved US location. We will also consider candidates    

in the GreaterToronto Area coming into the office 1-2 days week or a remote approved Canadian location(Alberta, BC, Nova Scotia or Vancouver).  

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the Knowledge Platform digital experience.
  • Collaborate on the GTM strategy.
  • Develop roadmaps for the KP digital platform.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products on the platform.
  • Lead a 2-person product owner team working on the Knowledge Platform.
  • Help to conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and trends.
  • Implement consumer-driven feedback into product specifications and design iterations throughout the project development cycle.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Build stickiness to the KP platform to ensure high renewal rates.
  • Ensure that the development of the KP system is aligned with product goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure the successful development and delivery of the Knowledge Platform.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in product management across a breadth of digital client product offerings, preferably focused on data-related products
  • Prior experience hiring, managing, leading, and goal setting with team members who have varying levels of professional experience
  • A mindset geared toward building relationships across multi-functional teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Experience with Agile methodologies.
  •  Prior experience of working with a remote development team is highly desirable

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $220,000 and $240,000USD and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation.
